Lake Effect: Soo and Paul

Soo Owens and her husband participated in the Lake Effect Half and Quarter Marathon in Minoa, New York. The wintry run offered s’mores, hot chocolate, and a scenic course. Despite snowy conditions and two tough loops, the well-organized event and supportive community made for a positive experience. Aid stations provided water and Gatorade, and the post-race amenities included warming stations and delicious treats. They recommend the event for resilient winter runners but note the need for proper gear and accommodations (Generated by AI).

Pat’s 10K at 9-Run-Run

The route was primarily on the TransCanada Trail so it was very scenic with the forest all around. The trail itself was packed earth rather than asphalt which made it easier on the legs. Funds raised for this event go to our first responders mental health. You will see captain of the police, firemen, and paramedics at the finish line handing out medals.
