Over the last 35 years, Mother Nature has often presented challenging organizing and race day conditions. We have all have had to adjust and adapt many, many times.
In 2021, as a result of Covid-19 limitations, our imagination has been pushed to a new limit (again), and we are really excited by the possibilities.
Come join hundreds of winter enthusiasts from around the world and participate in a truly unique event:
Do YOUR race any time, any where, between February 5th and Feb 20th.
This great event is one of the oldest Winterlude activities and exemplifies what winter in the Nation’s Capital is all about-skating on the Rideau Canal, coupled with running and cross-country skiing.
We have 4 event options to choose from, no real time limit, no location restrictions, and best of all, you can do it any time you choose between Feb 5th and Feb 20th. The events can be done in any order, without rushed transitions. You can pick the nicest day for the ski, a different day with the best tailwind for the skate and/or the day with the best traction for the run. What could be more convenient, fun and rewarding?
